The Payette National Forest surrounds McCall, Idaho and contained within its borders are in excess of 240 lakes and reservoirs.
Our specialty is the lakes and reservoirs of the local area. We use drift boats, float tubes, llamas, and pack goats to access these pristine waters.
If your desire is for alpine lakes and remote settings with great fishing you should consider one of our multi-day llama supported adventures. These trips are designed for 4 to 6 people and usually 3 to 4 days. These trips are $300 per person per day.
If you want to see someone else during your trip you better bring binoculars. We like to fish places that are off the beaten track. The Payette Forest and our guiding area borders the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness Area. We can access some of the most remote areas you have ever experienced. We pride ourselves on fishing places where you do not have to share your experience with a bunch of other people.
Our season starts in May, gets better all summer then peaks out in September and early October. We have a cinnamon ant hatch in early September that is a sight to see and produce some of the finest dry fly fishing available anywhere.
We also have serious fly fishing for Small Mouth Bass. We have a local reservoir with trophy regulations that produces amazing small mouths.
Species around McCall include Rainbow, Cutthroat and Brook Trout. Also Small Mouth Bass and Tiger Muskies.
Local Trout and Bass day trips include all gear and a great lunch and are based on two people for one day priced at $395.
International Trips
In the last few years we have hosted trips to the Bahamas and Belize. We also have extensive experience in Alaska. We are continually searching for international fly fishing oppurtunities. We are currently considering trips to the Goodnews River in Alaska and Tierra Del Fuego Argentina for huge Brown Trout...If these trips sound interesting to you please contact us for more info.
